Hero MotoCorp has launched the all-new Splendor 125cc in India for a starting price of ₹95,000 (ex-showroom) whereas the rest of its lineup had an update in the most selling commuter bike. For the virtues of dependability, fuel economy, and affordability, the bike now employs a bigger engine and features to add some modern tones in accentuating its value-for-money character.

Coming forth from the benchmark-setting 100cc Splendor, a number of earlier versions of which had a big presence in India for decades, the 125cc version more than doubles up on the previous motor. The new Splendor rides on a more refined air-cooled engine, measuring 125cc. It has been tuned for power and fuel. Despite the bump in displacement, Hero states that the Specific Fuel Consumption (FC) ratio in respect of renditions of performance is good, with mileage reading anything close to 65 kmpl under ideal riding conditions.

In addition to the contemporary Benten features for the growing demands of customers, the 125cc Splendor had been inserted with a considerable number of changes. The instruments use a semi-digital display that displays mileage and trip meter in real time besides providing service reminders. i3S (Idle Stop-Start System) makes its way on to the bike too to automatically switch off the engine in a jam continuously starting and stopping between x and y signals.

Beneath the uncontested design genes that have always been dear to the Splendor name, the new Splendor picks up on more present-day sharp graphics, a fuel tank ripped away for the most part, and a seat to slightly improve the ride quality. The two-wheeler still allows a comfortable commuter stance. Easy to handle, lightweight frames are a good fit for city rides and short commuting.
