India’s compact SUV Maruti Suzuki’s Brezza is set to launch in 2025 as a factory-made CNG variant. As the Brezza CNG is designed for an eco-friendly, cost-effective way of driving, it includes almost all the versatility of 7-seater SUVs, combined with the additional benefits of being fueled with CNG, which is proving advantageous for providing cost-effective benefits.
Prices and Variants
A dealer has introduced several versions of the Maruti Brezza CNG to avail more variants as per the requirement and choice. The price of the LXi S-CNG variant starts from ₹9.64 lakh, whereas the VXi S-CNG is priced at ₹10.70 lakh.
The aforementioned costs make Brezza CNG affordable in the market and a low-priced alternative to traditional petrol SUVs.
Engine and Mileage
The Brezza CNG owns a 1462 cc engine under the hood, producing a power output of 86.63 bhp and delivers a torque of 121.5 Nm. Certified mileage of 25.51 km/kg makes the CNG variants economical for daily and long-distance travel, and this will be brought about by the combination of a dual inter-dependent Electric Control Unit and Intelligent Injection System, fine-tuning ai.
The engine of the Brezza S-CNG is the 1.5-liter K15C four-cylinder petrol engine during conversion. In CNG mode, it produces 88 PS power at 5,500 RPM along with torque of 122 Nm at 4,200 RPM. When running on petrol, the engine produces power of 101 PS at 6,000 RPM and torque of 137 Nm at 4,300 RPM. These bi-fuel capabilities allow considerable flexibility and convenience for the driver. A 5-speed manual transmission is mated to the engine to allow smooth gear shifts and rapid acceleration.
Fuel Efficiency
One of the best aspects of the Brezza S-CNG is its fuel economy. The ARAI-certified mileage comes to 25.51 km/kg in CNG mode, making it one of the most fuel-efficient in its class. This low consumption offers lower running costs and reduced environmental impact.
